what is the Internet?

The Internet is a huge network system worldwide. Any two computers in the world can exchange information by connecting to the Internet. That is, individual computers and small area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) are covered by the Internet. So it can be said that the Internet is an infinite storehouse of information. Various information (text, audio, video, etc.) of various organizations located in different parts of the world (public-private, educational, commercial, private, etc.) are easily available through the Internet. In terms of time, money, and effort, the Internet is the easiest way to share that information globally.

what is the Internet? When two or more machines are connected together and perform interactions (i.e. exchange information), the system is called a network.
In spite of technical incompatibilities, when many heterogeneous networks are connected through gateways to provide worldwide (Universal) communication services, then that system is called Internetwork (Internetwork).

The internetwork is abbreviated as Internet.

That is, the Internet is a Network of Networks, which connects computers around the world and facilitates the exchange of information between network users at any two ends of the world.

Networks connected to the Internet are called heterogeneous because the hardware and software used in them are different. Gateways used to connect networks facilitate the necessary translation in both hardware and software.

A common form of the Internet is a collection of LANs connected by a WAN.
